I was very intrigued by this. It is very easy to use. You simply put your disposable wicks in with this and light. It gives off a light scent but enough to fill a room depending on the size bowl or jar you put it in. It reminds me of a cross between a candle and a wickless candle. The pro to this is that all of it does not melt at one time so no big clumps of wax. The downfall is that it seems that you have to use a different wick every time. Also, it's kind of like sand so there is the potential of spilling if its bumped or knock over. It seems like a fairly new product so I would imagine there is a lot of tweaking to do to perfect it and make it better.

I love this tallow balm. It's not a cream and doesn't immediately absorb the minute it touches your skin. It also doesn't keep you guessing about what's in it. What it does do is keep all the moisture in your skin from evaporating. It prevents TEWL. Tallow also mimics your skin's own natural lipids and provides vitamins and nutrients. It contains fatty acids that our skin recognizes like oleic acid (hydration retention and skin penetration), palmitic acid (protects the skin barrier), stearic acid (moisturization) and vitamins A, D, E, and K, but when I put other moisturizers on my skin, I want them to stay there.After applying sodium hyaluronate, vitamin C, or other skin care products, I can add a thin layer of Southern Alora tallow to keep the hydration in my skin. This is also a simple blend of tallow and jojoba oil and when the ingredients are clean, I can put tallow balm on my lips too. There's absolutely no aroma and you can also mix it with your other moisturizers as well. It's small batch handmade and somebody obviously cared when they put the product together. Southern Alora has a beautiful presentation and would make a lovely gift.

My only hesitation with this is that the potential for a big mess is huge. I very carefully refilled a half-full candle whose wick was messed up by softening it throughout by sitting it on a candle warmer, then poking a new wick into the whole thing carefully, then topping it off with this using a spoon. The “sand” is TINY little beads of highly scented lavender wax, and the few beads I dropped on my kitchen counter took a lot of wipes to get up— I kept finding more. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted it tracked into or onto either my wood floor or carpet or a rug. But the scent is wonderful, and if you have a special jar candle (like me) that you want to keep going indefinitely, this is a cost effective simple way to do it. Note that the wicks provided are 4” long, so that wouldn’t work wick-wise for a tall candle, just short ones… unless you only had the wick at the top.

This Beef Tallow Balm is very nice. It makes my skin feel so soft and silky. I love that it is unscented as so many products today smell so strong. I've used it on my hands and face without any breakouts. You don't need as much as you think as a little goes a long way. And my skin is so happy when I use it!
